Although this set does NOT contain ALL the books and stories written by Jules Verne, it does however contain 36 stories and short stories.
The following explaination for the stories chosen for this set is taken from the preface about Jules Verne in volume 1 written by Charles F. Horne:

"... Yet, in no spirit of unfairness, we must admit that Jules Verne's claim upon the Academy rather decreased with added years. Most of his later books by no means equal his earlier ones. A man over seventy may well be pardoned if he no longer writes with the fresh fancy and confident vigor of thirty-five. To present all Verne's later work to American readers would be fair neither to the fame of the author nor to the pocket of the public. Therefore a labor of selection has been necessary. All the works that have made Jules Verne beloved, all that present his imaginary inventions, his prophecies of the future, every work that honest critics have though worth preserving, is included in this edition. It presents not only those books crowned by the French Academy, but all those crowned by the verdict of that final judge, that best of judges when long years run full, that judge to whom all our work must be submitted in the end, the general public.

The 15 volume set of the Works of Jules Verne was published by Vincent Parke and Company in SEVEN 'Limited editions'
( 2 other companies also published the Works of Jules Verne, and they are listed below as well )

The Vincent Parke set contains 36 stories and short stories, 44 illustrations and a portrait of Jules Verne.

The size of each book is approx. 6 1/2" x 9 1/2"

The books do NOT have a date on the Title page but do have the "copyright" date shown as 1911 on the back of the title page.

Leather on the inside of the covers tooled with Iris pattern, and satin moire endpapers.

It is under debate whether the spines are faded to the tan colour from sun exposure, or bound that way. It would seem to make sense that they have faded, but it is a nice consistent colour between all the volumes!

Editon Plate Details The Edition plate in volume one is illustrated with purple irises with green leaves. Within the iris picture is a box which states: 
"This is to certify that the Members Edition of The Works of Jules Verne is limited to seven hundred and fifty numbered copies: and that this set is registerd as number xy. 
It is signed by the registrar and stamped with a raised stamp that says National Alumni,1904"
Note: On the set observed, the page opposite states "This copy of the Works Of Jules Verne is registered in the name of Chester Sherman Talfor."
His initials are done in a gold circle in gold and blue.a
Being a "members edition" each set must be personalized!?

These volumes correspond exactly to the Vincent Parke volumes, and therefore the contents of Vol 11 - 15 are simply missing! They were just never included in the set!
